The Tall Man

Set in New Mexico during the 1870's, The Tall Man told fictionalized stories of the adventures of two real-life characters, Deputy Sheriff Pat Garrett and William H. Bonney, more popularly known as Billy the Kid. Western stalwart Barry Sullivan played Sheriff Garrett, whose honesty and forthrightness had earned him the nickname "The Tall Man". Billy, a youthful gunfighter with a penchant for getting himself into trouble, was played by another Western star, Clu Gulager. With episodes written and directed by some of Hollywood's best, The Tall Man featured many of televisions' best stars.
