Felix the Cat
(1919-1930 Collection)
During the 1920's he was more popular
than kings, queens and even other movie stars.
Musicians wrote songs about him and newspapers
"interviewed" him. He was small and round with agile
little legs - and when those legs walked, the world
laughed! He possessed a magical tail which could turn
into a cane, a sword, a fishing rod or a question
mark. He was a hero to millions of movie-going adults
and children the world over. He was, of course, Felix
The Cat!
Lumivision Corporation and the world renowned
Cinematheque Quebecoise (Montreal, Canada) presents
Felix! This DVD includes Felix's debut as a free
wheeling cat about town in Feline Follies; an
amazing baseball comedy Felix Saves The Day;
the great cat's meeting with his peers (Chaplin,
Fairbanks, Swanson, Demille, etc.), in Felix In
Hollywood; the fabulous Felix Dopes It Out;
surrealistic masterwork's Futuritzy; Felix
Woos Whooppee; the hilarious Comicalamites;
also included is rare footage of Felix's creator Otto
Messmer. |

The Twisted Tales of
Felix the Cat
"The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat"
was easily one of the high points of late 90s
animation on network TV for me. Incredibly surreal,
I'd wake up *very* early on a Saturday or Sunday
morning, specifically to watch this show. For the next
half hour, I'd just stare at the TV, bleary-eyed,
amazed at the trippiness of the cartoon. I was quite
upset when it was taken off the air. Talking sausages
with moustaches, freaky flying eyeballs, lots of Magic
Bag tricks and much more on this disc - I could watch
this show every day and not get tired of it. Buy this
disc if you love surreal, humorous animation. You
won't regret it - it's a great price, too! |

Felix the Cat Woos
Whoopee
Although it may have been someone's
joke for the DVD artwork cover of Felix appearing as
he's 'giving the finger', (actually his index finger)
that prepares you for some laughs with great classic
animation. Parents warning.. Felix becomes
intoxicated/drunk in the first film short. 1. Woos
Whoopee 2. Forty-Winks 3. Arabianantics 4. False Vases
5. Futuritzy 6. Sculls and Skulls 7. Outdoor Indore |

Felix the Cat Saves
Christmas
Felix the Cat Saves Christmas is a
sweet, funny, and sure to be classic Christmas gem. I
was looking for a new holiday movie, and Felix has
always been a sentimental favorite of mine. Felix and
his pal Poindexter help out Santa and have many
adventures along the way. Not only was the story fun,
but the movie has musical numbers too. My niece loved
the Snowkid snowboarders! I would highly recommend
Felix the Cat Saves Christmas for anyone looking for
an alternative to the stale Christmas specials we've
all seen a hundred times! |

Felix the Cat: The
Complete 1958-1959 Series
This set is beautifully packaged, with
a graphic of the iconic cat on the cover, and includes
a list of episodes. The case opens like a book and
contains two one- sided discs. The plastic around the
discs isn't very strong, and my set arrived with the
plastic broken, but the discs still played OK. Disc
one opens with ads for Rocky and Bullwinkle DVD sets
and the Veggie Tales movie, The Pirates Who Don't Do
Anything, and includes 16 Felix episodes running about
seven minutes each, for a total disc running time of
120 minutes.
