Full House - Season 1
Set in San Francisco, family-friendly sitcom Full
House centers around the adventures of a widowed
father, his three children, and his two best
friends. Danny (Bob Saget of America's Funniest Home
Videos) is a straight-laced sportscaster, Joey
(David Coulier) is a fun-loving stand-up comedian,
and brother-in-law Jesse (John Stamos) is an
Elvis-obsessed rocker. Danny's children include
11-year-old D.J. (Candace Cameron), five-year-old
Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and baby Michelle
(big-eyed future superstars Mary-Kate and Ashley
Olsen). Created by Jeff Franklin (Laverne and
Shirley), the show ran on ABC for eight seasons. |

- Season 4 Just call him "Jesse the Greek." In
the fourth season premiere of Full House, Katsopolis
receives a visit from his European relatives,
including Michelle's look-a-like cousin, marking one
of the few times in the show's eight-season history
that the Olsen twins will share the screen. "Greek
Week" ends with Jesse (John Stamos) and Becky (Lori
Loughlin) getting engaged--a "big fat wedding" will
transpire before the year is through. |

- Season 5 Just call him "Jesse the Greek." In
the fourth season premiere of Full House, Katsopolis
receives a visit from his European relatives,
including Michelle's look-a-like cousin, marking one
of the few times in the show's eight-season history
that the Olsen twins will share the screen. "Greek
Week" ends with Jesse (John Stamos) and Becky (Lori
Loughlin) getting engaged--a "big fat wedding" will
transpire before the year is through. Interestingly,
life will imitate art in 1998 when Stamos weds a
real-life Rebecca (model/actress Rebecca Romijn).
Other developments include a new production company,
Double J Creative Services, for Joey (Dave Coulier)
and Jesse ("The I.Q. Man")--with Danny as their
silent partner--and Becky and Jesse finally tie the
knot ("The Wedding" two-parter). |

- Season 6 If the first five years were about
raising a family, Full House's sixth was about
learning to let go. In season opener "Come Fly with
Me," 15-year-old D.J. (Candace Cameron) introduces
her first boyfriend, Steve (new cast member Scott
Weinger), to the rest of the gang (the two got
together during a summer program in Spain). Danny
(Bob Saget) doesn't think she's ready for a
relationship, but maybe he's just jealous since his
long-distance love, Vicky (Gail Edwards), remains in
Colorado. Meanwhile, Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley
Olsen) bids goodbye to her best friend, Teddy (Tahj
Mowry), when his family moves from California to
Texas. |

- Season 7 Since Full House began, Danny
Tanner (Bob Saget) has been worried his girls would
grow up too soon. In the show's seventh season, D.J.
(Candace Cameron) continues to see Steve (Scott
Weinger), but now he's in college--and has his own
apartment. As for Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), she
starts hanging out with an "edgy" junior high crowd
(including The Practice's Marla Sokoloff). Nothing
bad happens, of course, but it's enough to raise
Danny's blood pressure a notch or two. Even Michelle
(Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) is tired of being
treated like a little kid, so he eases up on a few
rules. |

- Season 8 Half the fun in following a
long-running series comes from watching the cast
grow and change. In Full House's final season, Joey
(Dave Coulier) grows out his hair, seventh-grader
Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) starts wearing makeup, and
preschoolers Alex and Nicky (Dylan and Blake
Tuomy-Wilhoit) form complete sentences. Other
(non-cosmetic) developments: Jesse (John Stamos)
forms a new band--and dubs them Hot Daddy and the
Monkey Puppets (yikes!)--while senior D.J. (Candace
Cameron) prepares for college. |
