ABC's Lost
A plane crash leaves 48
passengers lost on an island somewhere in the South Pacific. These guys
run into some pretty mysterious things like a polar bear in the South
Pacific, some unknown very large monster, and a mysterious man who
although not part of the original survivors kidnaps one of the
passengers. Awesome show with lots of great mystery!
One of the great things
about the show is how they give us the flashback scenes of the
survivors. We get to see what makes the characters tick from their past
experiences. You can't get that on a reality show.

Are
there other people on the ABC Lost Island?

Want to know who else could be on
the island. Locke just said on the last episode that they all know
someone else is there. But
who?
Just for fun! New
Lost Gossip
You want believe what you read about ABC Lost cast member Josh
Holloway! Seriously, you probably won't believe a word of it.
Lost Trivia
Josh Holloway who plays Sawyer really was a Southern
boy, but he had to relearn his Southern accent after losing it to get
more acting work. Am I the only one who thinks this guy looks a lot
like Don Johnson? I just know they have to be related somehow.
The rocks used in the waterfall
cave set are made of rubber so that the sound of the actors, and crew
members walking about are not picked up on camera.
When the idea was to have Jack
killed off in the pilot, the creators discussed casting Michael Keaton
as Jack.
Terry O'Quinn who plays John Locke
has been in a lot of X-files' Chris Carter productions including Harsh
Realm, X-files, and Millennium as Peter Watts. He also guest starred in
a lot of other tv shows like Miami Vice and Alias. He once played Howard
Hughes on the movie the Rocketeer.
John Locke is named after English
philosopher John Locke, who theorized that before modern society,
people lived in the wild in a state of equality and happiness.
Likewise, Danielle Rousseau is named for Jean Jacques Rousseau, a
French philosopher who wrote that society is corrupt, and that when
removed from society, man can become truly noble.
Filming locations
Lost is filmed on Panavision 35 mm cameras almost entirely on the
Hawaiian island of Oahu. The original island scenes for the pilot were
filmed at Mokulē'ia Beach, near the northwest tip of the island. Later
beach scenes take place in secluded spots of the famous North Shore.
Cave scenes in the first season were filmed on a sound stage built at a
Xerox parts warehouse, which had been empty since an employee mass
shooting took place there in 1999. The sound-stage and production
offices have since moved to the Hawaii Film Office-operated Hawaii Film
Studio, where the sets depicting Season 2's "Swan Station" and Season
3's "Hydra Station" interiors were built. Various urban areas in and
around Honolulu are used as stand-ins for locations around the world,
including California, New York, Iowa, Miami, South Korea, Iraq,
Nigeria, United Kingdom, Paris, Thailand, Berlin and Australia. For
example, scenes set in a Sydney Airport were filmed at the Hawaii
Convention Center, while a World War II-era bunker was used as an Iraqi
Republican Guard installation. Also, scenes set in Germany during the
winter were also filmed in a relatively regular Hawaiian neighborhood,
with just crushed ice scattered everywhere to create snow and German
automobile signs on the street were used.Extensive archives of filming
locations are tracked at a repository at the Lost Virtual Tour
