Throughout the rest of the show, the firemen are on the phone to anyone, trying to find out what they missed.

  • Emergency had a cartoon spin-off called Emergency +4. In the cartoon,  John Gage & Roy DeSoto of Rescue Squad #51, are aided by a four-kid ambulance crew, which is accompanied by a dog, a monkey, and a mynah bird.

  • Engine 51 from "Emergency!" also appeared in a fire training film titled "Countdown to Disaster."

  • The actor who played Dr. Early, Bobby Troup, and the actress who played Nurse Dixie McCall, Julie London were actually married to each other at one time.
