Transformers History

1984 First Generation
The Transformers Began on television in 1984. At the time Marvel
Comics was producing cartoons and did so for the popular toy line
Transformers and G.I. Joe. The Transformers are of course a popular toy
line of robots that can be transformed into vehicles. The plot is
basically the good guys the Autobots vs the Decepticons. The Autobots
being led by Optimus Prime and the bad guys by Megatron. The first
series ran until 1987.
1986 The Transformers Movie
The tag line was "Beyond good. Beyond evil. Beyond your
wildest imagination." This movie actually killed off Optimus
Prime, but the fans couldn't leave it at that so the leader of the
Autobots was brought back to life. The movie goes 20 years into the
future to the year 2005.
Beast Wars 1996
The Transformers land on pre-historic Earth and take the forms of
animals instead of cars. This cartoon is done with computer graphics
instead of the traditional animated style.
Transformers Armada 2002
The Autobots and the Decepticons are at war again on Earth, but this time
they are fighting over little transformers called the Mini-Cons. These Transformers gives there masters a massive power boost either to defend or destroy.
Transformers Energon 2004
10 years after the Armada series events, the Autobots and Decepticons
live in peace until a bad guy named Alpha Q sends a powerful Decepticon
named Scorponok and a group of Transformer drones called the Terrorcons
to raid the Energon mining settlement and gather enough Energon to
restore Unicron. Optimus Prime and his team must defend the Earth from
the Terrorcons and stop Alpha Q from reviving Unicron. To make matters
more difficult they must also face a reborn Megatron.
Transformers 2006
A live action movie is scheduled

Spiderman showed up in a Transformers comic book back in the
1980's when he was wearing the black suit. At the time Marvel
handled the comic books and the the Transformers cartoon series.
