THE NEW FUGITIVE  90's - Today TV Trivia

Tim Daly stars in the new CBS series the Fugitive and Dr. Richard Kimble.  A retelling of the classic Fugitive show of the Sixties starring David Janssen. This time Gerard the constant pursuer of Richard Kimble will be played by Mykelti Williamson.

The first episode aired on  Friday, October 6, 2000 at 8:00PM et/pt  after being heavily promoted on TV land which aired a full weekend of the original Fugitive a week before the New Fugitive premier.

In a very innovative move the Fugitive utilized the web for the show. Dr Kimble is aided by a web surfer who posts the one-armed man's photo on  DrRichardKimble.com ,where web surfers are invited to post messages on the whereabouts of the one-armed man. After the show I got on the web and sure enough the site really did exist and it looked just like the one on TV. At least it did while the Fugitive was on the air now it goes to a miscellaneous Warner Brothers page.

Cancellation

The very last episode of this great series left us with a cliffhanger and no end for the weary fugitive. I personally think their should be a federal law if a network starts a series it has to televise a conclusion to the series if the show is cancelled. Just a thought.
