Fall Guy Trivia Facts
The theme song, "The Unknown Stuntman", was sung by series star Lee Majors. Lee sang the song to pitch the show to the execs instead of just pitching the storyline. It worked. The show was a top ten hit and could have stayed another couple of years when Lee Majors got burned out.

The Fall Guy was Lee Majors next series after the Six Million Dollar Man. The show was a favorite of mine back then. It was a entertaining hour about a stuntman who was also a bounty hunter.
The bounty hunter aspect of Lee's character Colt Seavers was a good excuse to have Lee Majors chasing bad guys, and the stunt man aspect made it a little more realistic to have him jumping cars over bridges, which of course was the custom of the time.
Another reason I loved this show was the guest stars that appear due to Colt's stunt work, guest stars like Roy Rogers and other classic tv westerners, and Lou Ferrigno from the Incredible Hulk tv show.

Lee Majors real life cousin Johnny Majors was the 1956 Heisman Trophy runner-up at Tennessee, and became a great college football coach; from 1968-96 he coached at Iowa State, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee, winning the 1976 national championship with Pittsburgh. Lee's hometown is Middlesboro, Kentucky.

Lindsey Wagner aka the Bionic Woman guest starred on an episode of the Fall Guy playing "Mary Connors" in episode: "Devil's Island" 1983.
