Hazzard Time Line

From out of the hills comes the General Lee a 1969 Dodge Charger and the Dukes of Hazzard. This popular show first aired on CBS in 1979 and lasted to 1985.

The show went into the top ten in the second season creating a merchandising franchise and Waylon Jennings got a top 40 hit with the title theme.

Sonny Shroyer (Enos) got his own show called Enos debuting November 12, 1980. Enos gets a job with the Los Angeles Police Department where he fights big city crime with good ol' country driving and know how. The last episode of Enos was broadcast September 19, 1981. Sonny Shroyer then came back to Hazzard for the fourth season.

Tom Wopat and John Schneider left the Dukes of Hazzard for most of the fifth season. Taking their place was Byron Cherry and Christopher Mayer as Coy and Vance Duke.

Tom Wopat and John Schneider came back to the show after their battle for more money and better story lines.

In 1983 a cartoon spin off of the show was made with Coy and Vance as the Duke boys for thirteen episodes and Bo and Luke for the last  seven episodes.

In 1985 the show was cancelled, but that was not the end for the Dukes. In 1996 the Nashville Network started running the Dukes with a huge success. In 1997 CBS aired a brand new reunion movie, and on Friday, May 19, 8:00 PM, ET/PT another Dukes reunion was aired. In this movie, the Dukes, Cooter, Cletus, and Roscoe roar off to Hollywood to raise some fast cash for a much-needed Hazzard hospital. On their side: country music tapes featuring now-famous singers from past Hazzard hoe-downs and dreams of making a profitable CD. Against them: a crooked businessman and a shady music promoter.

2005 The Dukes of Hazzard head to big screen with a brand new cast. Among the stars are Burt Reynolds as Boss Hogg, Willie Nelson as Uncle Jessie, Sean William Scott as Bo Duke, Johnny Knoxville as Luke Duke, and Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke.
