Dobie Gillis Reunions
A one-off special, Whatever Happened
To Dobie Gillis? screened by CBS on 10 May 1977, showed Dobie, now
40, in partnership with his father in the grocery business. Dobie is
married to Zelda and they have a 16-year-old son, Georgie, at high
school, while Maynard has become a successful businessman. Work!?
Say it ain't so!
In 1988 the gang
returned to television for "Bring Me the Head of Dobie
Gillis". In this TV movie we find a middle aged Dobie, who
actually married reliable Zelda who chased him all through high
school, and he runs the store just like his father. Their son Georgie
was still in High School apparently they forgot to age him. Connie
Stevens played Zelda this time around.
After the Dobie Gillis series
went off the air, Dwayne Hickman worked as a CBS program executive for 10 years.
Dwayne Hickman alias Dobie Gillis has
is own website where he is selling his own artwork, as well as some
photos, and videos.

The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis theme song lyrics
Dobie, wants a little cutie,
Dobie, wants a little beauty,
Dobie want a gal to call his own
Any size, any style, any eyes, any smile, any Jean, any Jane, nay
Joan.
Oh Dobie, wants a girl who is dreamy,
Dobie, wants a girl who's creamy,
Dobie, wants a girl to call his own.
Is she blond, is she tall, is she dark, is she small, Is she any kinda
dreamboat at all
No matter, he's hers and hers alone.
Maynard could never say the word "work" in
a normal tone of voice, or with out getting upset. That's exactly how
I feel.
