Band of Brothers is a ten-part television miniseries that was first broadcast in 2001 on HBO. The miniseries very realistically details the role of Easy Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, U.S. 101st Airborne Division, in World War II. It was co-produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks and is based on the bestselling book by Stephen Ambrose.
