The hit comedy
series Happy Days ran from 1974 to 1984. It starred Ron
Howard as Richard 'Richie' Cunningham, Henry Winkler as
Arthur 'Fonzie' Fonzarelli, Tom Bosley as Howard Cunningham,
Marion Ross as Marion Cunningham, Erin Moran as Joanie
Cunningham Arcola, Anson Williams as Warren 'Potsie' Weber,
Donny Most as Ralph Malph, Pat Morita as Matsuo 'Arnold'
Takahashi, Al Molinaro as Alfred 'Al' Delvecchio, and Scott
Baio as Charles 'Chachi' Arcola.
The show was
set in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the 1950's and focused on the
Cunningham family and their friends. The show lasted for ten
years but was almost cancelled after the first season
because of low ratings. Luckily Fonzie (Henry Winkler) began
to catch on with audiences and ratings increased.
There were
several Happy Days spin-offs including Joanie Loves Chachi,
Mork & Mindy, and Laverne and Shirley.
