The sitcom Head of the Class aired
from 1986-1991. Plot
summary for Head of the Class:
Charlie Moore (Howard Hesseman) is struggling New York
actor-director who is working as a substitute teacher while waiting
for his big break. His current assignment is to oversee a class of
student prodigies. He soon realizes that the principal has more or
less shut these students out from the rest of the world. He tries to
show them that there's more to life than just studying and winning
academic competitions. The principal doesn't exactly think that
Charlie is a positive influence on the students, but when one of the
students' parents, who also happens to be on the school board, sees
how Charlie got his son to come out off his shell, he "asks" the
principal to make Charlie permanent teacher. Now Charlie helps the
students with their personal problems, in addition to their academic
ones. Posters and Photos from Head of the Class |
