Man did that show blow me away or what. What an explosive episode! I knew what they were going to do as soon as I started watching. The bomb would go off and then ....wait.. till next year. New it, but they sort of faked me out for a few minutes when it didn't go off as soon as Jack dropped it.
This has to be the stupidest plan Jack has ever had, and if Sawyer wasn't so much in love with Juliette he would have never went along with it. Sometimes it pays to do the right thing irregardless of what everybody else wants to do.
For one they could have died for nothing just setting events as they were meant to happen in the first place. Second there are too many unknown variables to time travel. Maybe they still die in this timeline, but create an alternate timeline with alternate versions of themselves.
One piece of evidence to suggest the bomb was part of history. Ben acted weird as usual when asked if about the statue's destruction. Could the bomb have been what destroyed the statue to begin with?
