Yeah, he came along towards the end of the series.  Usually those are billed as the "Lost Episodes".

I suppose it was looking weird, having Ben dispense fatherly advice to a couple of grown sons, but yeesh!  Why not one of the Carradines or any of the kids from The Cowboys?  Develop Griff's character.  You never saw him except in the opening credits.

Little Joe and Hoss were my favorite characters. Seems like they used to pair off together a lot more. I vaguely remember one of the newer episodes and I know it's one of the last ones because Little Joe was looking a lot like Charles Ingalls hair wise.

TVLand doesn't run the later episodes.  One of the other stations was running them forever.  The show  kinda got weird after Dan Blocker passed away (He was my favorite).  They made really horrid mistakes - like a dead kid's hand spilling out change - including Roosevelt dimes.  I think I remember seeing wax paper in one, too.

Roosevelt dimes, that was a big mistake. Blocker was a good actor.

Did you ever see the PAX TV show Ponderosa that was the Bonanza early years with a new cast? It was ok, not the greatest. I watched a few episodes.
