Hello, I'm new here. I was watching the stooges a few days ago and noticed something really interesting. In at least 10 episodes there was a yellow naped amazon. It would be really interesting to know who owned that parrot and what it's name is/was. Given the lifespan of those birds, it is possible that if it was young at the time it might still be alive today. I have looked and looked to try and get this info. I was hoping that someone else might have better luck. I was hoping that there might still be a living part of stooge history around.

You mean like in the episode "Disorder in the Court" I know I've seen a lot of birds pop up from time to time in the Stooges shorts but I'm not really a bird expert. Do you think one of the Stooges was a bird fan?

Yes, that was what I was thinking. It really would be interesting to know which one. In almost all of the shorts that has a bird in it, it is usually the same one. Only once have I seen one with a different bird in it.

Funny I always noticed the regular actors that made more than one appearance, but the bird I never noticed. I guess he was a regular too.

I don't know a whole lot about birds, but are there any sites dealing with just birds that might have the answer? If you do find out make sure you post the answer. I'd like to know more too.

I already tried posting it on 2 bird sites. I was thinking that it would be easier if I could find someone who knows how to get a list of cast and crew on specific stooge shorts. My bird people have no idea.

Maybe it's owned by the crew members.
