The most famous dog of all time
has to be Lassie. This dog has more television time
than any human actor and has starred in several big
screen movies like my favorite "The Magic of
Lassie" with Jimmy Stewart. Lassie's first
television series lasted from the fifties to the
seventies. Not to be outdone by dogs like Scooby Doo,
Lassie had her own cartoon show called "Lassie
and the Rescue Rangers" in 1973. Lassie had 2
more TV series after that one in the late 1980's and
one in the later 1990's. Lassie's face can always be
seen on dog products at your local pet shop.
