Spyborgs Video Games

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The BEST two player game for Wii
I own this game and it is by far the best co-op two player game for Wii. It has sci-fi robots, hidden moves and the graphics are superb. I can't believe this game is sold for $[...] here. Its worth $[...] plus in my opinion. Good job game developers, expecting Spyborgs-2 soon ! :)

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Better than expected.
I did not have high hopes for this game but since its published by Capcom I decided to give it a chance and its a pretty entertaining game. The story is kind of weak and would be better suited for younger audiences. The gameplay is your basic beat em up brawler and for all intents and purposes works quite well.

Your B button is your melee attack while A is to jump,C is your power attack and Z is your block. You also have a good option to use button presses or motions for certain aspects of the game. The developers took note that pointless motion flailing of your arm is totally pointless and motion controls are optional. You can use a cursor type thing across the screen that locates hidden boxes and control panels that make bridges slide across and the such.

You can upgrade your skills at the end of each level and there are over 30 levels. 4 difficulty modes starting with the easiest being novice. The game can get quite hard so they made it to where you can change difficulty settings at any point. You can also go back and replay missions again and again much like how you can in Devil May Cry and you will keep your upgrades to your character and you can keep upgrading them.

The sound is really does a good job. Graphics are some of the best I have seen on the Wii in quite some time. The game is pretty much well polished and the only negative I can say is the game can get repetitive but that comes to the nature of the genre and I love it ! Levels are linear and straight forward much like nearly every beat em up brawler before it. Boss fights are pretty cool as well. You also can ulock medals and other achievements through out the game and this will extend the gameplay quite a bit.

Overall this is a welcome addition to the Wii library and anyone that likes action games or beat em up brawlers needs to go out and get this one immediately.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Back in tha day...
I remember coming home from school, throwing my backpack aside, grabbing a soda and putting on Final Fight 3 for SNES, and my best bud and I would sit there for hours of mindless punching and jump kicking. It was great. I wanna thank Capcom for bringing me back to that. I have to admit I am biased when it comes to this company, but they really do make great games *cough- except for ps3 bionic commando- cough* Spyborgs is like the spiritual successor to games like Captain Commando and Final fight. It takes the basic Beatem-up formula and kicks it up a notch with detailed, stylized graphics, co-op finishing moves, and over the top bosses (i.e. 20 times bigger than you). Although this has been done before time and time again by the likes of Ben 10 and to some extend the recent Madworld, very few companies reach Capcom's pedigree in this area. The game started it's life more like a bad saturday morning cartoon-gone-game, and ended up being a throwback to days when games were just fun and you didn't have to thins so much about what button does what. Graphically, Spyborgs looks great. The texturing is clean, animation is fluid and the ever-changing locales keep things fresh. The selsection of 'borgs is decent. Each is different from one another to warrant a go, but I think when they started this project they intended to go with 5 total playable characters (from youtube videos I've seen). The storyline is there, even though these types of games never relied too much on story. It's alright if at times a little too exaggerated. On that note, it's nice to see decent lip-synching in the character models during the cutscenes. Controls are pick-up and play for the most part, with the player having to follow onscreen prompts at times to do specific maneuvers. Overall I had a great experience with this one. It's a hit for sure and now that companies are trying to push the limits of the Wii we're seeing great things. I only hope that titles like Dead Space, Spyborgs, and Silent hill Shattered Memories do well. If we complain about the lack of great games when they make them (i.e. Madworld, Little Kings Story), they won't be making them anymore. Show your support! Pick up Spyborgs!
