NUMB3RS - The Complete Fourth Season DVD

In association with Amazon.com

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Interesting but not the best
I like this show, I really do and I really like the actors in it but I never actually want to watch it. Maybe because it seems like every episode is the same, maybe it's because I don't see why certain actors are even in it.

For example, the dad of the 2 brothers, what is he bringing to the show? His story lines mean nothing to me and I just don't see what the point is. Don't get me wrong, he is a great actor but he is just there. So though the show is good to watch when there is nothing else on TV, I don't think it's that interesting to watch continuously.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - math's rule!
Still an interesting show. But it's getting a little more violent trough the episodes. The actors do a wonderful job. If you don't like math, and you want to keep it that way, don't watch Numbers.. It gets under your skin! Have a nice time!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great season
Since I had watched this season ahead of time, I knew what I was buying. It is excellent for anyone who loves this series. The price was what I expected--not great; this season is too recent. But the content of the shows is excellent. (I hate the fact that I think it was end of this season that Diane Farr left the show; like many show fans, I'm not thrilled with the new cop, Nicki(?). I also think the romance between Don and his former lawyer girlfriend is unbelievable; the girl has as much charisma as a wet dishrag! Outside of those negatives, I enjoyed the subject of each episode and MOST of the acting.....

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great show continues
I enjoy this series immensely. It combines crime solving with family,
friendship and science and math. The acting is superb, the writing is
wonderful. This particularly copy is in great condition. I would use this
shipper again.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A Fun Show for a Friday Night
NUMB3RS has an odd distinction of being one of the few shows to survive in the dreaded Friday Night Death slot. This time slot has been the cause of many good shows going out before their prime. NUMB3RS has grown somewhat of a cult following allowing it to survive in a slot where most shows go before they're canceled.

NUMB3RS isn't really a procedural drama or a character drama, it's a bit of both. Rob Morrow portrays Don Eppes, a FBI agent who by the fourth season is pretty knowledgeable in the murder field. David Krumholtz plays his younger brother Charlie Eppes, a math genius at the fictional CalSci School. Charlie's role in the beginning of the series was pretty undefined but by the fourth season he seems to have found his footing as a member of the team. A few other FBI agents round out the cat but it's mainly the interaction between the Eppes' brothers that defines the series.

As I said earlier NUMB3RS' specific genre is sort of undefined. It certainly is one of CBS' more unique crime shows especially because it heavily incorporates math into the plot. It also is one of the few shows on CBS to have sibling characters in the lead role. There is a lot of character interaction and that differentiates it from a lot of the other crime dramas on CBS.

NUMB3RS' fourth season aired during the writer's strike. This means that there were only 18 episodes as opposed to the normal 24 episodes that season's two and three had. 18 episodes is still a big number for a strike shortened season (Scrubs' seventh season had only eleven episodes during the strike) so it's still a good set. New fans of the show should check out the earlier seasons first but it was really fun seeing NUMB3RS mature into the fun drama that it is today.
