Spider-Man: Web of Shadows Video Games

In association with Amazon.com

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great FUN new story lots of CAMEOS
This game I almost... have no complaints. The only thing that does get old is towards the middle of this storyline almost everyone turns into symbiotes and you have to wade through them to get to destinations, fight them (sometimes in air) and they do get bothersome. My other complaint is when you beat the game it does not allow you to go back into the city to complete the sub-missions or try and get the little collector tokens anymore. You just have to start back at your last save point and do it from there and then beat the game again or just save it uncompleted. Stupid.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Best Spiderman game yet
This game has all the pluses of the past Spiderman games and then some, and a few new downsides too.
You get to play in both black and regular costumes (and are able to switch on the fly) and your fighting skills change depending on which you are. The fighting takes a bit to get used to, but is great once you do. You have plenty of side missions to play through and as you progress, they change a bit.
The downsides are that there can get to be a lot on screen that'll cause lag. You have a good/bad meter which will head to evil if you don't save citizens in danger, which gets tough when you can't target them because of all the other things happening on screen.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Easily the best Spider Man I've ever played
Sure, the camera can be somewhat unwieldy and the optional mission are sometimes repetitive grinds, but the core game play elements are as sound as a pound. Great combat system, web slinging that made New York truly feel like Spider Man's personal playground, and some very memorable encounters with some of Marvel's best. This is definitely not the mediocre action game most review sites have made it out to be. Treyarch has made an earnest attempt to craft a varied and polished Spider Man game and has more or less succeeded.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best Spider-Man Game By A Longshot
This gave is very fun. You can be black-suit Spider-Man or red-suit Spider-Man. The graphics are great. You have complete control of where you go in the city etc. You can climb on any building etc. This is better than Spider-Man 3 and all the other Friend vs Foe etc games they made before this.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Decent pickup
I'm not a spiderman fan, nor have I played the other games. I just saw some gameplay videos which looked innovative so I decided to give it a try. My thoughts:

*The control layout stinks. My hands cramped up from playing the game.
*The fighting was enjoyable but the length of some of the missions and boss fights were so dragged out to the point where it became tedious.
*The camera is bad. I usually don't complain about this in a hack and slash type of game, but this was atrocious.

For mindless action, I give it 3.5 stars. I remember gamespot gave it an 8 out of 10...they were wrong. But, for $20, you could do a lot worse.
