My son loves the game, we just wish it had more songs. Also the 4-USB Adapter broke the first week.
Lots of fun to play!

I'm not much of a gamer since the 80s but this is a good one. The boys (10&13) and I have a great time on it. I used to play the drums and Rock Band drums are surprisingly challenging, certainly the most challenging instrument for a non-drummer. Bought some Vic Firth sticks at the local music shop that are a little more lively than the RB ones. Visiting friends had a good time too! The singer gets to add points by playing tambourine/cowbell/claves with the mic. It would be nicer if that was a separate instrument for the Wii remote to give more people a chance to join in. My 10 year old drives us crazy by humming rather than singing on songs he's never heard and getting high score albiet in "easy". I've never played RB on any other platforms nor have I played Guitar Hero. While the game for Wii was still somewhat scarce Amazon had a great price and it arrived quickly and in good shape.

A purchased rock band for the wii expecting that it would be as much fun to play world tour as my buddies xbox 360 version. I am utterly disappointed with this game, there is NO incentive to play! the world tour for the wii version is exactly like the solo tour for the other versions. one song at a time, no set lists, no fans, no "gigs", and pretty much no fun. The fun in rock band comes from the social gatherings that rock band can entertain by creating a band cruising through the different cities passing off set lists etc... Well if you plan on getting this version you are going to be utterly disappointed because you will not find any of those "rock band" features present in this game. I suggest getting the xbox 360 version or the ps3 version.

we love it, we went and bought a second guitar and now the whole family can play. I definately recommend this game, I think my husband and I play it even more than the kids

Just a warning to anyone who lives outside the US - the game will probably not work on your Wii. Do some research into whether you have a PAL (UK, Aus) version; if you do, the US ("NTSC") version you can buy from Amazon will not work on your machine.
I discovered this only after lugging the huge box across to the UK, plugging all the instruments in, and... the Wii wouldn't even recognize the disc. And it's just not feasible that I'll box it all up and lug it back to the States to ship to AMZN for a refund (not that AMZN did anything wrong here).
Word to the wise: don't try to be too clever - wait your turn :)
