You cant go wrong with this TV.
720P is fine, especially with the small screen size.
Dont blow your money on the new hype, you will LOVE this TV.
If its samsung, you can't go wrong.

I bought this TV because it was my responsibility to bring one to my dorm room. I've mainly used it to watch tv and play video games. Everything is nice, i haven't had problems with it. The sound quality is what you'd expect from a tv though... not very rich. I use my speaker system instead. Overall, far exceeded my expectations.

I Bought the Samsung LN19A450 last year for the den and loved it, bought the LN22A450 for the master bedroom because I was so pleased with the 19 inch. The picture is great, sound is ok, very easy setup, remote is not layed out for easy one hand use (I use the Direct TV remote and this is not a problem for me) and the set has enough inputs so I can use it for my dish, rabbit ears and computer all at the same time.

Wow, what a lousy experience with Samsung. I can't say I would ever buy another product from them: The television stopped working after 90 days. Bad backlight. No picture. They took responsibility (1 year warranty) and gave me a shipping label to send it back, to their credit. I packaged it up very carefully in their original box, including all of the original plastic protective bags styrofoam. The box was in new condition.
It took 3 weeks from the time I sent it back until the time it was returned. Not sure if it's fixed, because I haven't even plugged it in yet - the first thing that I noticed when removing it from the now super beat up box? The entire front of this new shiny black plastic TV now has thousands of tiny scratches all over it. Nightmare consumer experience- cheap electronics break quickly, repairs done slowly, product comes back worse than when it left. Totally dissatisfied.

I bought this TV because my PS3 was lonely without an actual HDTV. I did a lot of shopping around, I even came close to purchasing a Westinghouse TV but [...] won't take my card--and I'm glad they didn't. I wasn't too excited about paying the price, but I knew I was getting a quality product from Samsung. It has one HDMI port, RGB port, and the standard AV port, along with audio out and some other things that are become the standard. I've hooked my PS3 up to it via an HDMI cable and I have SO impressed with what I see on my screen. I watched a BlueRay movie on it and WOW is there some detail I would have never seen in theaters! And the sound isn't half bad either. It's like a step down from high quality surround sound. When I first bought the TV, I didn't get the HDMI right away, I played games on the Standard AV--which was something I didn't want to last forever. Do yourself a favor--avoid using the AV, it makes things blurred/pixelated. Reading text on the screen was not an easy thing to do. HDMI is the way to go. The controller is easy to use and getting around the menu is fairly easy. I highly recommend this product. Wouldn't you want to be the envy of your roommates?
