I bought this TV based on 2 things, Price and quality. I am an electrician and install a lot of high end AV systems in houses. The 650 series really impressed me with its great hi def picture quality, but also with it's SD picture quality. Samsung did a great job with this TV. Also, Amazon had the absolute best price at the time. For me it was a no brainer!

I read the reviews on Amazon and was comforted to know if that if the price dropped within 30 days (like at with local stores) that I could get a refund on that amount.
WRONG!!!
I bought my TV on Sept 23, 2008. Apparently on Sept 21 Amazon changed its policy and no longer has a 30 day price guarantee. Less than 2 weeks have passed since I purchased my TV and the price has dropped almost $100. Had I realized that there wasn't going to be a price guarantee, I would have been MUCH more careful on checking price trends before I bought (or perhaps bought elsewhere online that supported a 30 day price guarantee).
Because of reading the customer reviews, I thought that I was covered on that and didn't think anything about just going ahead and ordering when I did.
Anyhow, just wanted to give you heads up on that so that you don't get caught like I did on it (or are at least informed about it -- I was misinformed).
On the TV, we've had it less that 2 weeks and it has a great picture and glare hasn't been a problem (I had been concerned about that). The sound isn't as good as I'd expect it to be for the price of a TV and we'll end up using a different sound system because of it.

Great TV, crystal clear picture, great for gaming, football, and anything else you want to do with a TV...

First time buyer through Amazon, great experience and saved 25%. Only had the TV for a month, so far so good. Great picture, sound could be better. All in all very satisfied at a great price.

I researched from many website and review over million times before purchase this LCD. SONY and SAMSUNG, I don't know which one is the best and my present LCD before buy this is SONY. Of course Sony is more famous name than Samsung BUT now I change my mind. My new Samsung LCD look wonderful and more than I expected. SONY need to update and get the cheap price like Samsung.
I recommend to anyone who plan to buy LCD TV, this is the best one I'd never seen before. I really enjoy it.
