The game could had been a lot better about the only they did real good at was the graphics which are kick a**, but other than that it was ok it would had been better if they made the gameplay like Dragonball z Budokai Tenkaichi 3.
For example the 3D range of movement, which I'm deapointed about not having in it. Also, could have completed each story line instead of leaving beats and pieces out, and added alot more characters.
The controls were real good.
The achivements are to hard on higher difficulties, but this game could have been alot better.

Before I say anything I want make it clear that this is coming from a DBZ fan, not so much a fighting game fan.
Burst Limit is good depending on what you are looking for. The game has very nice graphics, and decent animation, but lacks in the sound department. Stages are bland and uncreative, serving only as backdrops for the fights. As a fighting game Burst Limit works fairly well. The battle system is fast, nicely balanced, and plays out better than previous installments, but it is far from perfect. While characters have some variety, they all play mostly the same, and share many of the same tactics. Support characters provide help in a match, but are a nuisance, and only interrupt the flow of the game. There are also certain exploits that break the balance of some characters, making them cheap. The story mode is not bad, but for some reason it only goes half-way through Dragonball Z, ending at the Cell Saga. Notably, the story isn't actually made clear either, and people seem to be fighting for no apparent reason. This means anyone unfamiliar with the story will likely be lost. The online is okay, but very buggy. The frame-rate often drops below 30fps in a match because of bad connections. Also, if one person quits, the match is canceled and no one gets victory. This becomes a problem when you are fighting a jerk that doesn't want to lose.
All in all, Burst Limit feels uncompleted, doesn't serve the DBZ fan-base, and doesn't do a good job at being a great fighting game. Its decent fun for a little while, but feels lackluster in the long run.

A Little Repetative But Overall Really Good, My Favorite So Far (The Graphics Are Pretty Good), Game-Play Is Alright, Wish It Was A Longer Game =/

The graphics in this game are sick and great improved since the last few DBZ games. The combat is even better than before and has the ability to work for everyone. The downfall for me was that the game has only up to the Cell Saga and Broly, but does not continue to the Buu Saga and on. That made me depressed, but all in all the game is excellent and a good buy. Hopefully Part 2 will continue this game.
8.3 Presentation
8.9 GraphicsI went as far as that because the graphics have improved dramatically and for the better.
7.9 Sound Sound is great, especially for surround sound, but the repetitive sayings during battle can be quite irritating.
8.5 Gameplay Basic controls yet many can be used to unleash great combos and wipe the floor with your opponent in battle.
8.7 Lasting Appeal The game is fantastic without a doubt. Storyline flaws for me, but great nonetheless.
8.6 OVERALL
(out of 10 / not an average)

we have to take into account that this IS the first dbz game for the PS3,
i am quite a dbz fan(though i despise dbgt), i found somethings i liked and something missing from the game.
graphics on this game are awsome, but there are not that many characters, you get the saiyan saga, the frieza saga, and the cell saga, i compared this game to the tenkaichi budokai 3 for ps2, and it is far behind in story number of characters and fighting system.
there is stuff to be retieve from the last ps2 game to make the next far better than this one.
i can't deny it's fun, but you need someone to play with or it can get pretty old, pretty fast. don't expect a lot in terms of story, the skip very important caracters that were on other games.
better to rent it and check it out, because it doesn't make my cut(i have it), and i'll be waiting to hear from atari when they have a better game.
amazon service is good and fast, go amazon!!
