That's a dream that came true! This box is everything that a X-Files fan could ever dream of.
And even buying from Brazil, including all the high taxes, the price is much cheaper that buying here in Brazil.

I have to say I've been a fan of the X-Files since I was kid. I used to watch them with my dad all the time...and then recently I started watching the re-runs on Direct TV, I cant remember but I think it's on the SCI-Fi channel...or one of those type channels...Then I decided to start renting them from Netflix, and I since I could only get two at a time I always wish I didn't have to wait to get the next disk in the mail...so when I got my Economic Stimulus check from the IRS I decided to break out and buy the set. It arrived today and I'm very excited. I'm watching the Pilot episode right now.
What comes in the box is all 9 seasons + the flight to the future movie. It came with about 10 collector cards, a flight-to the future movie poster, a small comic, and a book that gives a one sentence description of every show in every season...plus a offers a small photo beside the description. In stead of actual DVD cases the disks comes in small flip-book size holder so they can be easily removed.
I did own the first season but it came in a case from Japan, so I'm not sure what actually comes in either the individual seasons or the slim packs but even if you don't have either set then the collectors set is amazing thing to purchase.

Ah, the Xfiles. It was high school for me, and the great big world out there had yet to be x-plored. What the xfiles offered was a glimpse at why everything appears to be normal, like, all the frickin' time! The truth! The government is covering it up! And so Mully and Sculder champion the cause of actual truth, and finding what is really "out there." And over the course of.. uh, 25X9.. uhm, 200 and something episodes they do exactly that! From human sized parasites, to satanism, to invisible predators, to zombies, to voodoo, to computer programs, they go through it all! Mostly. That's the chief strength of the show: the breadth. In an effort to spark the viewer's imagination, they literally stop at nothing (well, okay at budget) to describe the paranormal.
The show's two main characters Mulder and Scully (I'm ignoring you, t2000) are in a difficult position. Fox Mulder has made it his life's work to investigate the unexplained, in a heroic effort to reveal the truth about reality to America. Unfortunately, definitive proof seems to always elude his grasp. When the show begins, he's just being joined by Scully, a medical doctor whose belief in what you may call "typical" reality remains virtually unshaken through most of the series. Every time something weird happens, she's there to place doubt in Mulder's mind! His particular demon of disbelief. Nice touch with the red hair too. So, she should be the hateable character in the series, but somehow she's not. Anderson really pulls off the idea that she believes only in science, and the things that science has proven. Discovery must first be met with skepticism, lest we all look like fools. Excellent.
The other excellent aspect: the music. Doubtlessly, everyone remembers the haunting, eery whistle of the theme. But the score from the interior of the series is just as brilliant. In a word: spooky. A whole range of instrumentation is used to convey mood, and I can't really fault any of the compositions. Quite, quite well done.
The oft quoted byline of the series is "I want to believe." I'll tell you what I want to believe: that David Duchovny has some acting ability. Some would probably call his performance `dead-pan.' I would likely just call it `dead.' For someone supposedly passionate about the whole paranormal deal, Mr Mulder shows remarkably little excitement about it. Even when he's spitballing ideas for the newest case, it seems that Duchovny can barely keep himself from rolling his eyes. Maybe this is supposed to be part of the chemistry between him and Scully, and him knowing that he'll constantly get shot down by her no matter what his theory is. Truthfully, there's probably some sort of higher-education theory of character acting behind this all, along the lines of: Mulder is world-weary and sick of not being believed in himself. Okay, I guess that kind of works. But still.
My chief problem with the show is the aliens. Not only are they filler-outers of the overused area 51 stereotype... well, that's mostly it. I disliked the bug eyed triangle heads when I first saw them 20 years ago, and my opinion has not changed since then. Basically, they lack any flavor whatsoever. I suppose this is done intentionally, as they're trying to invade earth, and all. And the producers don't want their viewers to somehow sympathize with them. But still, they're so boring (albeit intentionally) as to be completely worth skipping every time the Alien Arc pops up.
Furthermore, the tone of the series doesn't often change. The whole setup is one of dicey, in-the-dark, against the unknown, spooky, investigation. While the music is indeed excellent, after a while, the thrill is gone. There's never really a satisfactory "oooh! the monsters!" or anything. I mean, obviously, it's a TV series, so their budget is kind of limited. But still. With all those tip-toey builds it's quite frustrating to never really get a resolution. Intentionally done, probably, to try to get people actually interested in the paranormal. But I can't help but feel rather ... used.
Another assertion established by Carter, et all, is that people who smoke cigarettes are EEEEEEVIL! As an occasional smoker myself, I find this idea to be cliche, ham-handed, and ridiculous. Well, actually, okay, Mulder smokes sometimes too. I can't help but think that the anti-tobacco industries lined the producers pockets to create just such an image.
PS It wasn't a weather balloon.

The x-files has to be one of the coolest shows I've even seen
And having this product is one of the greatest things to spend the money on

I've always believed the best way to watch these shows was to get the box of the entire series. This set is a great opporunity for anyone to experience all that is the X-Files at their leisure. My only concern is the longevity of the cardboard packaging.
