The Dethalbum Music

In association with Amazon.com

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Interesting
Interesting, purchased as gift, think he listened to it once..........
and he requested it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellently Executed... especially for a joke.
While Dethklok may be an imaginary band made up of two people, you wouldn't know it listening to this album. All the instruments are played with such precision that the only real hint that this is not a real band would be in the lyrics. Regardless, this album is an excellent listen. Melodic lead guitar harmonies, excellent riffs, and all around fun. I definitely recommend picking this album up if you are a fan of metal at all. I also recommend checking out Metalockalypse on Adult Swim if you haven't seen it already... it is a wildly entertaining show.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Parody and homage rolled nicely into one
Sounds for the most part like Jesse Ventura rockin the mic, backed by Queen circa "Flash Gordon."

"Dethalbum" is really more prog than deth muddle, with a slathering of theatrics a la Panic at the Disco or GWAR. "Fansong" actually sounds kind of like RHCP's "Fight Like a Brave," so the influences seem to be all over the map. Must be why me likey!

Too bad the show blows like the winds froum uranus.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Sweet album... missed some songs though
I absolutly love the Metalocolypse show. I feel like it was made especially for me. The album is freakin' great! The only thing I didn't like was that some of the songs that I wanted weren't on the regular CD, only on the Deluxe edition. bummer. I didn't realize this until after I opened it, otherwise I would've gone for the "red" version. Murderface!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great, head bangin' metal!
If you're reading this review, it must mean that you're at least semi-interested in the cartoon band "Dethklok" So hopefully this review convinces you to look even further into the world's most brutal of all bands.

If you're a fan of metal, then you should probably check this album out. Great Guitar riffs, pounding Drums, and hilarious lyrics, (if you can understand them) much in the vein of "Primus" as far as weirdness goes.
The musicianship on this album is top notch, with great playing all around, so if you like technical metal, this album is a wet dream. A few tracks were omitted for unknown reasons, such as "Crush my Battle Opponents Balls" "Sewn Back Together" and Dr. Rockso's song about Cocaine.

It's hard to choose highlights from the album, since the album has songs that all sound pretty similar, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. So I recommend checking out every track for yourself, and making your own judgment. If you, like me, love epic sounding tracks, definitely check out "Dethharmonic" "Go into the Water" and "Thunderhorse"

I also recommend checking out the show of which this album is the soundtrack to "Metalocalypse" It's quite hilarious.

I DO COCAINE!
