I grew up watching the rookies on tv
when i saw they had the 1st season on dvd i purchased it immediately.
i just wish they would make all seasons available on dvd in the near future

I enjoyed watching these old shows again and seeing all the cast in their youth of acting!

This a great series, we need more dramas just like how this one was made in the 70's, nothing too "overpowering" like how some are made today. I am looking forward for the next season to come out on DVD.

I have not seen this show since it was aired while I was on holiday in California in the 1970s. This is a good series with excellent plots. Watch out for guest stars like Roddy McDowall, Clint Howard,
Lou Gossett, Jr and Martin Sheen.
If you have never seen this before and you like TV cop shows like Starsky & Hutch or TJ Hooker, then you will love The Rookies.

I loved the Rookies when it was originally on television and am enjoying them even more now that I have them on DVD and can watch whenever I please. I would recommend them to anyone interested in cop programs that do not have a lot of foul language in them.
