I wonder what kind of research does the toy company do when determining what age appropriat for childern and their toys? The bumblebee transformer says five and up,ya right. My husband was asked by our 6year old to transforme bumblebee from robot to car. After some time passed my husband in sear fustration gave the toy to me to figerout. Yes the toy came with direction (pictures showing how to do it which, was difficult for even me to understand). After a good 30 minuts passed I finily putting the toy togather. With out looking at the picture direction because the direction confused me.
I can't see any five year old doing this task on their own. But I do say, the toy is mad strong enough that my son has not yet broke it and he seem to enjoys it a lot.

This is truely a durable transforming car/robot! Making the transformation from robot to car and back can be trickey (keep the directions!)I got this for my 6yr old Transformer fan, who is not very gentle when playing. It so well made, I have no fear that it will break.

Purchased this for my grandson, he is a transformer FAN. Even with simply drawn outline instructions for the transformations, three adults couldn't figure it out. The last that I saw the toy, the grandson was just sitting there pushing the noise button, which I admit the sounds are cool.

I bought this Bumblebee Transformer for my daughter's nineteen year old boyfriend. He has had a delightful time changing it from the robot to the car and back again. He loves the way it interacts with him and to hear it sing is a real hoot. I think this gift is probably more for the older "child" at heart but it is great entertainment. Thanks!

The overall picture of this toy was awesome but once you take it out of the box and try to get it together is a problem. My husband and I both have been unsuccessful with getting it together even with the directions. It just needs to be less difficult to put together once it has been taken out of the box.
