Pokemon are very popular. Kids are happy to get anything pokemon. However, once they get to actually playing with it... it's fun but not too sturdy. It doesn't stay together well and is found in pieces all throughout my home. Would be fine for a careful kid but if you have one that's rough on toys I would look for something else. I do appreciate that it's something that encourages imaginative and social playing but it should either be made better or charged less for it.

Everyone else pretty much summed up what we think of this garbage. Fits together poorly. Ridiculous cardboard folding building, like something from the 60's technology. Only one character. And how the hell do you play it. It has no instructions except how to build it. Use your imagination I guess. Avoid at all costs...my son couldn't have been more disappointed !

This product would be great for my Pokemon loving son! I bought this for him to get away fom video games and use his imagination some.
He won't play with it because the stupid thing keeps falling apart!! The product comes with pictures on the side you attach with double sided tape. Ever seen tape stick to textured plastic? The "feet" come off the bottom, you can't move it without it coming apart. the dome is 2 halves and you put the stickers on...Mine are wrinkled because it is like putting a long sticker inside a bowl.....The red dome (2 pieces) comes apart too when you move the product around in the room, the "WINNER!" flag won't stay on.
If you want to tape the whole thing together to stay it might work, but come on....Wish I had bought an imaginext product instead of spending the $50 on the darn dome!!!!!

We waited two years to buy this playstation for our niece and son. i
In 2007 they were newly into Pokemon & the $50 price tag ($100 for 2) made us deny their pleas @ birthdays & christmas. This Christmas my sister in law got them each one from TRU on sale for $25 apiece! we were all so excited for them to open them! they were thrilled! Oh, their ages are 8 & 5. Well, it took only moments for the Dads to realize they were putting together a piece of crap, excuse my term! It is NOT durable, it does nothing easily or correctly, it tips over, shakes, things get stuck or just wont work right. Forget the decals & the background drops! they had to be taped on with scotch tape & today I just tore them off and threw them away, actually it looks better w/out them! m
My brother agrees with my complaints. His daughter is the 8 yr old, my son is the 5 year old.
basically we just use it as a platform to provide some imaginary location for the pokemons to retreat to or something because my son gave up use it for any of the indicated purposes within 2 or 3 days. It was very frusterating for him and very disappointing!
Thank God my sister in law got them half price, I wouldnt pay more then $10 bucks for one, and even then it wont be of any better quality!

Back when this product first came out and my son wanted it, I discouraged him because of all the terrible reviews I'd read. However, when I found it on clearance at TRU for under 20, I decided it was worth the risk. I was all set to have to tape, glue, or whatever it took to keep it together . . . but it hasn't fallen apart at all! My boys are both having lots of fun using all their Pokemon figures with it, especially the marble shooter feature up on the top level.
I don't know whether this is a better version than what was originally sold, but I'm happy with it for the price I paid!
