My 7 yr old daughter got this for Christmas. She had refused to learn to ride a bicycle because she fell and hurt herself. She had a 4 wheeled scooter but had outgrown it so we decided to meet in the middle. This scooter is the best of both worlds. She had trouble balancing the first day, but by day 2 she was riding for long distances. The brakes are very easy to work and the scooter was easy to assemble. All I had to do was attach the wheels, handlebars, and brake cables. No problem. After gaining confidence on the scooter she decided to try and ride her bicycle on her own the other day. After only 2 days she can now ride her bicycle with no problems. She now has 2 options when she wants to ride. The best of both worlds. I would recommend this scooter to anyone who is looking for a starting off point for their child learning to ride a bicycle. All they need is a little confidence.

The box was open when it arrived but nothing was missing except the instructions if it ever had any. Typical UPS foul up for the scooter to be delivered with an open box. I guess I luck out that there was no damage or missing parts. You really take a crap shoot with shipping these days. The scooter is a good product for the price. The quality was in line with the price not great but adequate about like everything made in china these days. What I found online US made was hundreds more expensive. I can't believe that Toys R Us only gets ten dollars for assembling bikes. It took me a long time to get the brakes adjusted and they are still quite right. The rims look more chrome now than they did at first. I would buy the scooter again.

Our 5-year-old daughter had a scooter at the top of her Christmas list for months, but the bumpy, brick sidewalks in our neighborhood eat razor scooters for breakfast. Other parents told us that after lost teeth and constant frustration, they had "lost" their razor scooters. This scooter saved Christmas. My daughter literally does circles around razor riders. The brakes are a major pain. Three bike riding adults could not get them to work, but a 5-minute trip to the bike store solved that problem. This scooter is top notch -- hey, Kent, how about a couple color choices?

We bought this scooter for our 6 year old son. He loves it! We live in an area without sidewalks so this scooter is perfect to maneuver over the acorns, pebbles, etc. in the driveway and on the street. He can even ride over grass on it. The hand brakes are nice although he doesn't use them much right now...he is just learning to ride the scooter. I would have given this scooter 5 stars except the brakes are kind of tough to grip down on for my son...not a big deal as I said the brakes are there for when he goes too fast and needs help but he can also stop with his foot. Overall a GREAT scooter for the younger child.

It took me almost all day to put the scooter together and adjust the breaks and break pads, but was worth it. My 5 year old rode it far after the sun went down the night of Christmas & was the 1st thing he did when he awoke... even before breakfast! Unfortunately, it was such an awesome gift, someone stole it out of our driveway that afternoon, the day after Christmas. Didn't think about writing down the serial number... so was pointless to file a report; can't prove ownership. Hopefully this scooter will be available again soon so I can replace the stolen present.
