Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Kent Super Scooter
I purchsed 2 of these scooters, one for my 9 year old step-son, the other for myself. While it is a little small for an adult it is sturdy enough for me to ride. The brakes are not the best, they tend to stick and not fully release, but we are not traveling at high rates of speed, so they will do. The scooter is a lot of fun. I am happy with the quality for the price I paid.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Our 4 Kids Love Them
We have four boys ranging in age from 11 to 15. We purchased these scooters for each of them for their birthdays. When they arrived, I had to put them all together (which took several evenings so as to keep the surprise intact). The instructions for the brakes were quite minimal (written in China?) but after going into the garage and looking at the brakes on my bike, I was able to figure out how to assemble and adjust the brakes adequately. Other than that glitch, assembly was quite simple and straightforward. You don't need any special tools, just a few wrenches and a pair of pliers. I would also suggest that you make sure that the deck is secured since one of ours arrived with a loose deck (attached with phillips head screws).

Our boys really love these scooters. They ride them in front of our home in our neighborhood and also at a local city park that does not allow skateboards, but does allow scooters. One of the BIG attractions for us was the big inflatable tires. We avoided the "razor" style scooter since it has the little dinky hard rubber tires. If you hit a rock or a seam in the pavement with it, you could easily go flying over the handlebars. With these big inflatable tires, they are much safer and more secure to ride. Our boys have ridden both the razor style and these Kent scooters and have affirmed this. These also go much faster (Dads will probably think this is a cool, while Moms may see this as an anxiety breeder). One thing to keep in mind is that since these tires are inflatable, they have tubes in them which means that you can get a flat. The first day my boys used them, one of them got a flat. Fortunately, I had previously taught our boys how to fix a flat on their bicycles (I got tired of fixing flat tires on four bikes - it became nearly a full time job!). Our son fixed the flat on the scooter in about 10 minutes.

We would highly recommend these, especially considering the price. The free shipping through Amazon made all the difference for us. Local sporting goods places could also order them (same price), but we would have had to pay shipping on all four scooters (probably about $15 per scooter). We really love Amazon and their excellent service and competitive pricing.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Perfect for off pavement
Our drive way is gravel and we needed an "off" road scooter. My 5yr old loved this! The handle bars were a little high for him, he is average in height for his age, but over all a great fit for him. Better than razor with hard wheels...although we did get a flat. Still this is a great scooter.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Scooter !
I bought this scooter for my son because of balance problems. This Kent Scooter helps his balance and, more importantly, boosted his confidence. Now he likes to get out and ride.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Just Okay
I bought this scooter for my son who is about to turn 4. The ads said adults and kids alike would love it.
Well no way would an adult be able to ride this. The handlebars and deck are way too small. For the overall size of the scooter, the deck is tiny.
I liked the idea of front and back hand brakes for my kid. But when I bought a Razor pro for me to ride with him, he went right for the razor and won't let go of it.
I think when he gets a little bit bigger, he will like the Kent. But I will say that you should have a pro put it together because of the brakes.
Also, the quality is prettty low, the only way I would recommend buying this scooter is if you can get it really cheap, and include the cost of putting it together.
Also, you can't really adjust the handlebars.
I would look into getting a Razor Cruiser for a kid, before buying this one.
It is true that it looks like it can go over rocks and dirt, but I don't think the quality is good enough to last long doing that.
