A serious note of advice to all those who LOVE "TWILIGHT ZONE". I have longed to own this collection for a long time. Usual price everywhere is about $300. Not only is it The Complete Definitive Collection (with lots of special footage included), Amazon sells it for the best price. GET IT !
You will be happy in the TWILIGHT ZONE!!!!!! A must have.

I have never seen a show as good as "The Twilight Zone." The reproductions of the show on this box set are fine. Nobody should expect fantastic technical reproductions from this kind of set, so don't expect anything in HD. Even today's worst shows have better hi-tech recording; however, no TV show today can compare to the quality of writing, acting, and imagery that "The Twilight Zone" has.
All the shows on this set are presented in the order in which they originally aired on CBS. The menus are clean and easy to use. I've listened to a few good commentary tracks, which generally talk about the relationships between this actor and that producer or that actor and this actor. I usually listen to those commentaries on my favorite episodes (which are too many) and get a little insight.
I do have one big complaint: there are no second language subtitles or second language audio tracks. In this day and age, that's a real shame. The film was broadcast in many countries, and I assume subtitled or dubbed in other languages. Not all of the discs even have English language subtitles. I don't want to blow this out of proportion, but if an "I Love Lucy" set can have foreign language options, why not "The Twilight Zone?"

Well, if you've seen the old black-and-white Twilight Zone episodes, you know what you're in for. These suckers were so far ahead of their time it isn't even funny! I watch them now and think, "wow....we must've been terrified by these back in the day..." And it's always a treat to see one that has been expanded on by modern writers and made into something else. For about five years, my husband and I had the New Year's Day tradition of watching the episodes as they were aired by the Si-Fi channel - now we can watch them any time of year.
