While admittedly, I have not yet viewed all six seasons in this format, I discovered a quality control problem in season two. Whoops! The last disc just falls out, of course shiny side down, because the box was not constructed properly. So, before you cut the cellophane, grab a couple extra boxes, in case your set was cheaply produced anyway. But, on the plus side, the discs I have viewed are all excellent for clarity and content. What a great series. (I have not viewed the disc that hit the floor yet, however.) A must buy classic television purchase.

IMAGINE IF ROD SERLING HAD NEVER BEEN GIVEN HIS BIG BREAK AT CBS TELEVISION IN THE 1950'S? HE WAS TO TV WHAT BUDDY HOLLY WAS TO ROCK AND ROLL, A GENIUS WHO COULD WRITE AND WRITE AND WRITE... ROD SERLING WAS THE VOICE OF REASON, HIS TWILIGHT ZONE STORIES, AS WELL AS THE TWILIGHT ZONE STORIES WRITTEN BY OTHER WRITERS FOR THAT SHOW, CHALLENGED OUR CONCEPTS, ASKED US TO RE-EVALUATE OUR BELIEFS, QUESTIONED OUR OPINIONS, EXPOSED OUR FEARS, FORCED US TO REASON, TO THINK, TO CONSIDER AND YES, ALLOWED US TO BE ENTERTAINED AT THE SAME TIME. EVERYONE SHOULD OWN A COMPLETE DVD SET OF THE TWILIGHT ZONE, IF ONLY TO SHARE WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY. TO RE-LIVE GREAT TELEVISION, THE KIND THEY DON'T MAKE ANYMORE. GREAT STORIES, GREAT ACTORS, GREAT WRITING, GREAT DIRECTING, NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN BUT TO BE CHERISHED AND FONDLY REMEMBERED. THIS WAS A REAL DEAL, GENUINE GREATNESS. UNMATCHED FOR 50 YEARS. GO FOR IT. GOD BLESS ROD SERLING AND HIS FELLOW WRITERS OF THE TWILIGHT ZONE SERIES!

I grew up watching this program. It had a profound effect on me then and still does. When I was a child I watched it because it could be down right chilling. As an adult I see that there was so much more to this show than science fiction. Each episode has a moral or contains a great deal of social commentary. It is also fun to see how many young actors who went on to successful careers, got started here. Actors such as William Shatner and Ted Knight were so young. Of course some great classic actors such as Ida Lupino, Art Carney, and Ed Wynn also starred in various episodes. While I like some episodes more than others I cannot say I have a favorite. Over time I have learned to appreciate even those episodes I did not enjoy as a child.

Very high quality product filled with amazing stories which have aged remarkably well considering the technology used back in the late 50s and early 60s. Special features are plentiful, if not somewhat bleak, as they usually consist of "Isolated Scores" from each episode, which aren't exactly riveting. Interesting subject matter none-the-less and there really is no better way to experience the Twilight Zone then curling up at night and watching a string of episodes with friends, family, or alone.
