Let me start off by stating that I am a fan of Marvel comics and the like. I am by far not an expert on their comics but do know their movies pretty well. While playing this game I expected it to focus more on the movies because of the nature of the game. Many of the "my" and "all plays" are based on the movies but on the other hand many of the cards are not. Some of the questions on the cards asked about details of specific comic issues which are near impossible for me to answer since the Marvel comic library is so vast and I have only read a small fraction of them. I also thought for this being the Deluxe edition the presentation was sub par even compared to the regular versions of Scene It? that I own like Disney 1 and 2 and Harry Potter. Although the tin case is cool, the dice are generic and ugly. Also the play pieces are kinda dumb because instead of being characters they are symbols like the X-Men and Fantastic 4. There also does not seem to be much though to the layout and overall look of the interactive disc. All-in-all I really enjoy Scene It? games but this one seems to be for the mega Marvel fanboy and not your average Marvel adventurer.

I have other "Scene It" games & love them. This one did not disappoint. It was given as a gift, but played soon after opening. Lots of great clips & great artwork for Marvel fans & Movie lovers alike. I would recommend this to anyone who loves trivia.

I am a big fan of the Scene It? games, but this one is not as well put together. You absolutely must have prior knowledge of the Marvel comics and films if you are going to have fun with this game.
Most of the questions have to do with a video clip of some kind, just like all these games. However, this one will then ask you a question that appears nowhere in the clip! A couple of examples-
We were shown a Spiderman clip with him fighting Doctor Octopus. Great clip. But then the question was how did Doc Ock's arms get fused to his body?! Another time we were shown a clip from the Fantastic Four movie where Reed and Sue are talking. The question then asked where the two of them went to college. This information was again not in the clip.
I have been very disappointed with this product. In a line of otherwise high quality Scene It? games, this one seems to have been put together by people who just didn't get the concept of the game.

The fact that I could order the game was a plus. The fact that it couldn't be shipped to me because I have an APO/FPO address made me mad. I had to send the game to my father, and then have him send it to me. I was trying to order the product as a gift for a friend. It was given to him a month later rather than on his birthday like I wanted to. I'm assuming the game was okay because I had to give it to him late. I don't understand why I can order some games through Amazon and get them, but not other games of the same kind. This needs to change.

This game asks questions about the Marvel Universe, mostly the recent trend in movies, but also some questions about the actual comic books and popular characters in various franchises.
The questions are relatively easy, but if you're playing with other people, this is part of the fun, as you race to see who can shout out the answer first. The DVD game modes are diverse and interesting, including clips, comic book covers, and other games based on either pictures or words (fill-in-the blank, scramble, etc.)
If you enjoy Scene It! (basically Trivial Pursuit with a DVD), then you'll like this game as well, as it is similar to other games in the franchise.
