The DVDs are in perfect condition, but the DVD case leaves something to be desired...I'm a little concerned I'm going to end up scratching the DVDs anyway because one of the prongs that is supposed to hold the DVD in place doesn't work very well, so both DVDs in that volume fall out every time I open up the case. There are two other cases in the thinpak, and they are fine. This might just be why you pay less for a thinpak.

I thoroughly enjoyed season 3 as much as all of the other seasons. It's now a part of our collection.

The overall presentation of the carton containing the product is very nice and SIFI looking. The disc's were nicely protected and all were in excellent condition. Of course the series is what I expected with one small issue. During all the discs play at least one or two shows would have a hang, lag or glitch. The frame would freeze for just about a second. There were no cuts or blemishes on the disc.

Stargate SG-1 is a great series (at least until Rick Anderson got bored in the later seasons) and would be a welcome addition to any science fiction aficionado's collection. Therefore, I eagerly ordered the first three seasons in the "Thinpak" edition from Amazon only to find that each of the seasons included episodes that pixelated and or were otherwise unwatchable (e.g., no sound for one of the characters or, in one case, a disk that would not even load). I reported the situation to Amazon and they promptly sent me replacements for all three seasons. Unfortunately, the same disks had the same problems in the replacement sets. I reported the situation to Amazon again, and received (in part) the following reply:
"As it seems that the problem with this item is more widespread than we originally thought, we are not able to send another replacement. We are returning the defective items to our suppliers. We will get new stock into our fulfillment centers with in few days. Hence I request you to place the order after few days for this item so that you may not face this inconvenience in future."
Caveat emptor.

I held back on buying Season 3, but when I received and viewed it, I was angered at myself for waiting so long in getting it. I purchased all except seasons 3 and 9(which I still need to purchase season 9)and this 3rd season is the best. SEASON 3 IS THE BEST SEASON
