Rating: - Like An Old Friend, From Happier Days Long Past...
I suspect like most Folks, I have not seen this series for some 42 years now (yikes, that long?!) since these were brand new episodes - I'm saying aired on Friday nights on ABC.... actually an hour before the original Star Trek episodes would be aired on NBC - West Coast times of course. ;-) Like a lot of old shows that are turning up on hard media now you wonder before buying: will I still like this show, after so many years ago? In the case of HCTB, no I sure don't... I love it more then ever, I swear it!! The stories are wonderful as well as the cast - and despite it's age there is no 'dated' feeling watching these, which honestly seem like brand new episodes to me now. ;-) The show is uplifting, entertaining, and excuse me for saying but the ladies were and ARE gorgeous as well, what could be better?!

My only complaints? As another reviewer pointed out, for some reason the original season one opening Theme song was not used on these discs. Strangely it is the second season Theme song used - why they would do this I can't fathom. I've tried to find it (possibly done by Perry Como?) but no soap. Also, it would seem highly unlikely Sony will be making the Second Season available ever... they are of course about the 'money' and not a charity for us nostalgic folks out here. Hope I'm wrong on that one but won't hold my breath. Nuff' said.
