F Troop - The Complete First Season DVD

In association with Amazon.com

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - While the opening credits are much better in season one than later season I am not sure about what follows being better as well!
See, granted the first season opening credits with brilliantly written theme song and exciting action sequences (like the exploding lookout tower!) are far better than the second season's opening credits with
still(!)animation shots and instrumental theme (the show needed a new opening as it switched from b+w to color). But I have reservations that all of season one was better. They were just getting to know their characters in season one and they look and act differently (noticeably beauty Wrangler Jane whose so much more badly gunprone in season one and sweeter in season two). In some ways I prefer season two!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Thank God for TV like this
I saw the entire first season DVD while I was on vacation. I am 40, and remember the reruns as a kid. I hadn't seen them in at least 25 years. I understand and appreciate them even more, now. With this unwatchable garbage on TV, like reality this, reality that, Dancing with the Stars, Eating with the Stars, Jogging with the Stars, Dieting with the Stars, etc, this is a breath of fresh air. They sure don't make comedies like this anymore. Thank God for DVDs.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - F Troop the complete first season
Great item, Just like I remember it when I was a kid.
Thanks for the laughs.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Amusing
I thought this was hilarious when I was a kid, and a lot of it is still quite funny. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - The bumbling troop is back
I remember watching syndicated episodes of this show while a kid. I had remembered it being funny but not much else.

I wanted to buy this first season so that I could remember what the excitement was about and I was glad that I did.

The show is hilarious with a fun premise. Ken Berry plays the straight-laced Captain who has no idea that Forrest Tucker and Larry Storch are actually running the fort.

Warner did a beautiful job in restoring these shows, which are in black and white. There is very very little evidence of any "pops" and "scratches" that is often prevalent in old black and white film. The sound quality is well-done as well, although mono, it still sounds fine.

I recommend purchasing this to relive the fun of the bumbling F-Troop.
