I won't drone on. All the other good reviews have covered the details.
This thing works great. I have it indoors right now, just lying against the wall in no particular direction. It picked up everything much, much better than the bunny ears I was using. I fully intend to mount it outdoors as soon as I can find the time.

I live on the foothill near the NW of Pasadena in the greater Los Angeles area. The south-faced broadcasting tower on top of the Mt Wilson is nearly parallel (12 degree) to my house. Thus, my TV reception is very poor due to the weak side-band signal. Besides that, there are many tall trees that block the line of sight. I tried two different outdoor antennas before. One can not get any signal, while the other quite-a-large antenna provides very weak detection. One day a huge wind damaged the aluminum antenna, so I got this one and it works like a charm. Another issue that I had before was channel 7 (ABC) has its own tower about 4 degree seperation from my point of view. I had to choose it or others with the old antenna, but this antenna picks up both signals flawlessly.

Returned a more expensive Phillips antenna for this one...the DB2 performs twice as good. I am ~10miles from transmitting towers.

With the 2008 Olympics here, and my lack of a decent DTV Antenna, I wanted to get the best for an indoor setting. I live in a basement apartment, and reception has been poor to none.
Not only did the DB2 arrive just in time for the opening ceremony, but it boosted my reception from a mere 15-25% to a whopping 75%+ on most all local DTV station, and I even receive stations well beyond my broadcast area. Example, I live in Baltimore, and I receive DC stations moderately clear on good weather days.
I have abandoned cable, as it too much money for only a few channels that I watch. My HDTV broadcasts all DTV channels in crystal clear quality, now, and most of my guests don't believe that I don't have cable when they see the quality.
Notes: I live in a basement apartment, so I am positive that if I had a higher level of access, my channels would be even clearer (i am less than 15 miles from most broadcast stations). At first I had the antenna sitting behind a wall, and still had good reception, but then I placed it in front of a window and the clarity skyrocketed. Remember, DTV is line-of-sight, so be sure to have it outside or near a window for best results.
Literally, this product line of antenna's is the only antenna you should consider. Based on distance you are from broadcast points, you can vary on more powerful versions of this antenna. DC is 40 miles away... and I live in a BASEMENT/ground level. :)
If you are anti-cable the way I am, and you have an HD ready TV, or HD Tuner, this is the purchase for you. Let Feb. 9 come, and be ready.

I have had so much trouble with cable lately that I wanted to pick up an antenna for watching the local networks. This antenna is very powerful and the perfect size for indoor or outdoor usage. I wouldn't have been able to see the Olympics if it wasn't for this antenna.
