I just bought this dvd set for my daughter and i also got a new surround sound system. That is when i noticed this dvd set is mono sound. The new dvd series being sold (at about $13 a piece) has DTS surround sound. If you are an "audiophile" like me you'd be better off with the newer version, but if it is just for kids to watch this version is fine. I only paid $30 for my version, and I would be upset if I paid more than that for dvds with mono sound.

I am a mother of two little boys ages 5 and 2. They have recently discovered the Scooby-Doo series and absolutely love it. I asked them what they would like to say about this DVD set and they said "tell everybody to buy it, it's the best." They are aloud one movie a day and they always ask for Scooby-Doo. I like watching it too, it brings back memories from my childhood and watching Saturday morning cartoons with my dad. The only thing they could to help out is tell you what stories are on the discs. It does contain the original five and we already had that. We also have season three and it too contains some of the stories featured in this set.

My 7 and 2 year old boys just love Scooby Doo and when my husband and I found this Complete Frist and Second Season for an awsome price. We knew we had to get it for them. It couldn't got here fast enough. Even though it did get here pretty quick. My two boys just love it. Infact that is all that is playing in there bedroom 24/7. Thanks Amazon.

My kids love this boxed set! With 4 Discs, there was plenty of run-time between swaps and made the 15 hour trip home from Grandma's house pass quickly. A must have for anyone who loves Scooby-Doo.
