Like many people, I have spent hundreds of dollars in the past in search of the universal remote that truly is universal.
To be truly universal, it needs to be able to control ALL my A/V devices, and be able to do ANY and ALL of the functions that my other remotes can do.
This one meets those standards. Although the software interface is not 100% intuitive, it's very powerful. I was able to do 95% of the programming myself. And the technical support guys at the other end of the toll-free number (in Toronto) answer promptly, are competent, helpful, polite, and fun to work with - and they did the 5% I couldn't (or didn't know how to) do myself.
Only down side items:
1) I wish the fast forward, play, etc. buttons were located around the up/down/left/right/enter pad in the center.
2) I wish the buttons were a bit bigger
3) I wish there were a complete PDF manual downloadable

I could not possibly say enough good things about this remote.
It is marketed as just a remote capable of controlling your XBOX 360. It isn't. It is a sleek, solid, highly-functional universal remote.
I have it controlling my TV, A/V reciever, PVR, DVD, CD Player, Bedroom TV, Bedroom DVD, and XBOX.
It was MUCH easier to program than i assumed it would be. The PC software is user-friendly and guides you pretty much step-by-step thru the whole process. It is fully customizable.
The coolest feature about Logitech's new remotes are the "Activity" feature. It allows you to, for example, push the "Watch DVD" button. Your entire system will then turn on/change for you to watch a DVD. Your TV will change inputs, your dvd player will turn on, your AV reciever will change to the appropriate setting, everything else will shut off. You could even program it to have the tray open up waiting for you to put the dvd in. It's sick.
Throw all your other remotes in a drawer.

The Functions of the remote all work great, everything you want to do requires one button press. They only bad thing is the button. They are really small and hard to press without looking. The channel and volume buttons also click when you press them, which is pretty annoying as well.

I've had this remote for a couple of years now and I'm still in love with it. It makes managing all of my home theater components so easy. But not everything is all sunshine and rainbows.
Like I said I have had this remote for awhile, and time has not been particularly friendly to my beloved remote. Many of the buttons need to be pressed a few times for them to register now. This is annoying most especially when watching recorded shows from my DVR, the FFW button is almost useless. I have resorted to bringing back the old cable remote to control my tv shows again. I know this is because I have used the remote so much, and after a few years wear and tear is to be expected.
Fair warning: treasure your early times with this remote, it works like a charm, but one day you too could resort to using multiple remotes again. It's a horrible thought, but all the same it is a reality I'm facing now.

This remote is too good to be true, at first when in the process of buying the remote, I was a little hesitant since all univeral remotes promote the samething blah blah blah!! But when I saw that it was from Logitech, I checked the website itself and was amazed with the details about the product! So I decided to get it since I trusted the company very much and let me tell you IT WAS WELL WORTH IT!!! Besides the fact that I also have an XBOX 360, this remote was even able to physically replace the HD-DVD remote that Microsort has and EVERY SINGLE REMOTE I HAVE!!
It's awesome and just incredibly intelligent remote, it's able to know upto 175,000 devices (I think that's what the website says lol) and let me tell you, they're NOT KIDDING!!! From remote controlled lights/dimmers, I think even AIR Conditioners lol EVERYTHING you can possibly have near your entertainment console or TV set-up!
There are a few technical issues that you have to deal with like a 5-6 hour learning curve with regards to programming all of your equipment and how you want them to turn on, what you want the system to do when you want to select a certain activity. For example, I have the activity (as it's called on the remote) to "Watch a Movie," and let's say I'm watching TV, well I just press this button to "Watch a Movie," and it switches the TV to the Video Input that my HD-DVD is on (or wherever your DVD player or BLu-Ray is on), turns off the cable box, turns ON my Receiver for the Surround sound, has the volume set on the receiver since that's what I use to turn up/down the volume AND, get this, I can even make it OPEN THE DISC TRAY all in one setting. lol All this sounds cool, but you have to sit there and program the damn thing for like hours!!! since you deal with time issues, how long it takes for everything to turn on etc etc. BUT WELL WORTH IT! sorry for talkin so much but I hope this helped anyone thinking about getting this! PEACE!!!
