my son, who is turning four in a couple days,got this leapster for xmas. although he gets stuck sometimes, not sure what to do and has to get his older siblings to help him out,this is by far his MOST favorite thing!( along with a 4ft wooden castle and numerous Ben10 action figures) he has fallen asleep with it in his hands. his teenaged siblings love it and dont mind playing it with him and neither do i.thank you,leapfrog,for such a wonderful product!

We all love this toy. Very fun and educational. My son is 5 1/2 and he's had it for over one year. He's still glued to it. On long trips we are in good shape as long as we have plenty of batteries! (You can also get a charger for it, although I think it's about $30.) He has been able to work it from day one. Even change out the games. The size is perfect for him to hold and use. Games are actually age appropriate. Games are from $15-25 generally, and there's a large selection of them. They offer popular characters such as Cars, SpongeBob, Dora, etc., as well as some of there own cute characters. We tried V-Smile and sent it back. This is way easier to use! Graphics are pretty good. You can buy the little pouch to carry and store the game cartridges too. Pretty handy for keeping them together because the cartridges are pretty small. I didn't see the benefit of spending the extra money on the L-Max vs the regular Leapster personally, because I doubt he would play with it on the TV screen. It just seems like a hassle.

I bought this toy for my 6 year old for Christmas and she loves it. It's very educational. I have not yet bought any cartridges for it so she is only playing the games that come preloaded but she is having fun and she has already told me what cartridges I should buy. Seeing how much fun she is having with it I will definetly buy the other games for her.
I love the fact that she can count and spell and colour with it. It keeps her occupied in the car and even her 11 year old sister and myself play with it as well. It's really fun to use.

This is a great product, why didn't they have things like this when I was a kid??? We already had a pink one for his sister, and my son had been asking for this for over a year, and got one this year. He will sit on his bed playing games with it as long as we will allow it. He loves the cars game and instead of just mindless interaction like the playstation etc. he is actually learning something!

I purchased this as a gift for my 5 year old grandson. He was mesmerized and could not put it down. He thinks it is a game and doesn't realize that it is so educational. His parents were thrilled.
As always, Amazon delivered quicker than I expected. I love Amazon.
