I had very few favorite Wolverine figures from ToyBiz, but I have to make room for this one. It's fantastic!! The figure has really only one, tiny issue: his waist joint is very loose and allows him to spin around too much when you don't want him to. However, this is such a small issue, you'll never even care. I thought this was unique to the figure I bought, but after I read the other reviews, I knew this wasn't true. His body sculpt is new and is in perfect scale for the character since Wolverine is supposed to be 5 feet 3 inches. He blends in well with other Marvel Legends figures. The articulation is excellent and the joints-other than the waist-are tight and well concealed. Especially where his legs and boots come together. Another great thing about this Wolverine figure is that he comes with nice, long claws. And, they're pretty darn straight, too. ToyBiz did a good job packaging this figure to make sure the claws looked good when you take him out. Wolverine is sporting a newer costume design and the paint job on the figure is just fine. His costume is based on his appearance in the Astonishing X-Men comic books. Which brings me to the subject of the comic book that comes with the figure. It is a copy of Astonishing X-Men #6. It's part of a real recent X-Men story and has some inappropriate "four-letter" words in it--not the kind of comic book that I would want my 4-12 year old reading after buying this toy. Considering that is the age group these toys are geared to, ToyBiz should be responsible enough to select a better issue for youngsters to read. I don't care what you think your kids are hearing at home or at school that's worse, they shouldn't have to be exposed to it in the toys they play with. There is another version of this figure available. It's exactly the same figure and comic except the head sculpt is different. Wolverine's mask is off and is hanging around the back of his neck. It's a nice head sculpt and worth getting. You never see Wolverine with his mask off in the comic that comes with the figure, so it's more or less for collectors and die-hard Wolverine fans. Both are very nice figures, but it's up to you whether you want your Wolverine masked or unmasked. This series is called the Apocalypse Series because, as in past series, the 6 figures have a piece of the 7th, larger figure-Apocalypse. Apocalypse is a 5,000-year-old mutant and an arch nemesis of the X-Men. He turns out to be 14 inches tall and he looks really, really good when he is all assembled. He IS the best one in the series. Most people probably won't consider the character selection in this series to be the best, so it was a good idea for ToyBiz to release these figures this way. Personally, I love the character selection AND the idea of building another, larger figure. They should continue it in future releases. Everyone will want to put together their own Apocalypse since he was very hard to get when he made his 6-inch appearance in Marvel Legends 7. Between the two versions of this figure, it's should be easy to purchase one or the other, so if you want him for the Apocalypse piece or not, you're still getting a great action figure that plays and displays nicely. If the comic didn't have the swear words, I would have given it 5 stars.

So, this is like the 4th or 5th Wolverine of the Marvel Legends line and this one is worth getting. This is the Astonishing X-men Wolverine and it looks just like him in the comics.
His points of articulation are I'd say average with I believe 32 POA. As mentioned in the other review, his waist is quite loose but not that loose where it would spin as u move it.
The main thing I don't like about this figure are the blue parts on his shoulders. Those don't let you raise Wolverine's arms. You can only move his arms forward, backward and to the sides.
This figure overall is a good one though and is worth getting.

Wolverine comes with one of the mighty legs of Apocalypse who is the 14" build a figure (BAF) for this series (Apocalypse Series, duh!). The BAF is a massive kick butt sculpture of an action figure, as were the BAF's before it which were the 16" Sentinel and the 14 to 16" (depending on if you count the tuning forks on his head) Galactus.
This is the Astonishing X-Men version of Wolverine and the sculpt works well and looks good. His claws are long and posed right he looks like he's inches away from gutting someone. He comes in a little short but hey that's Wolverine. He's supposed to be like 5' 7" or something isn't he? Overall, good sculpt, good paint and a fun figure with 30 plus point of articulation. One small note, mine had a really loos waist joint and he spins around it 360 degrees. Strange but OK as when I pose him he is stable. I don't know if they are all that loose.
