NOTE: This review is for the product titled: All-Time Top 100 TV Themes [SOUNDTRACK]
Like the title says, this dual-disc CD was not perfect, but is very good. This is based on two fronts:
Theme collection: I think its fair to say that no one person could ever compile a comprehensive list of the top 100 theme songs due to selection preferences/bias. Further, its important to note that this is the best THEME songs, not the best shows.
Technical Audio Quality: Some tracks are studio-quality, others seemingly recorded straight off of a VCR. All of the themes are at least acceptible.
I have no regrets purchasing this CD.

This CD set is really awesome! I thought the songs would be longer, they're actually like 30-45 seconds each, as if you're watching the TV show itself. If you're expecting the full length song, don't get this. To get all of these great songs at full length, would be so expensive. But, if you just want a little slice of these memorable soundtracks from the later 20th century, which I mainly grew up in, then get this. It's also great for DJ's, people go nuts over some of these songs!

I remember watching a few of the shows on this CD as a first-run in the 80's, but most of the rest I caught as reruns. But to my young mind back then it was like watching it as a first-run no matter how old it was. Shows such as The Twilight Zone, Bewitched, Sansord and Son, etc., will always occupy a sweet and nostalgic part of my mind.
Of all the TV theme type compilations that I've run across, this one manages to represent the widest array of selections. From some of the oldest to relatively recent ones. All the songs are original. Certain collections only have the really old ones and some present non-originals.
Of course, no collection will be absolutely complete for everyone. I wished this one had the theme from Dukes of Hazzard. But overall the selection is rather large and should please most fans hungry for a trip down retro-TV lane.

Listening to these CD's brought back some fond memories of childhood. The quality of the tracks were very good. Simply a lot of fun to listen to!

I know others have commented on the less-than-stellar production values of this compilation, but I think they're fine. The collection of songs is great, and even though at first I wasn't thrilled about the newer stuff, we've come to love those as well. This is a great collection to listen to with the whole family. I think it would be difficult to find a comparable compilation for a similar price. Good value.
