This is not your usual loud and jarring soundtrack. It is a wonderful listening experience.

The service was excellent. The CD was in excellent condition. It came on time. I would recommend buying from Amazon.

While not quite as iconic as Danny Elfman's score from Tim Burton's Batman film, or any of the recent Batman animated series, this score is well suited to the film.
Nice touch with the first letters of tracks 4-9 spelling out BATMAN.

A pair of titans - Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard - use their incredible artistry to approach separate themes surrounding Bruce Wayne/Batman; Zimmer tackles the action sequences, while Newton Howard delves into the character scenes.
Through electronic music and orchestral pieces, the 12 tracks depict the split personality of the superhero, with song titles that are different genera of bats (with a key word spelled out from the first letter of six titles). Though the composers had an ambitious 2 hours and 20 minutes of music for the film, the album "only" clocks in at 60:26.
A surprisingly difficult album to track down, it is some of the most fascinating work from both composers.

Awesome. The track titles are too cool. Hans is the mans! Kind of dark for everyday listening, but great "I'm on a mission" driving music. The price on this one spikes so be careful.
