This was a gift, and it's great. The slimline cases are so much better than the way this was originally released, and the extras are awesome!

This set is great and here is why:
- If you're a fan of golden age classic comedy shows, then this is a great treat for you.
- The sound and video quality of the DVD was amazing. I have watched old episodes on tv of I Love Lucy and the difference is huge! You would enjoy a the clear voice even if sometimes you can't figure out some of Ricky Recardo words :)
The bonus material were not much, but you don't really buy the DVD for the bonus material do you? the DVD's include some never-seen footage, and some other related material.

This is probably one of the best Paramount releases out there. I first got an I Love Lucy on Christmas of 2004 and it was the second season set. About two years later, I was at Best Buy and got the slim packet of the first season. It was even better than season two! The episodes are clean and crisp and I wouldn't be suprised if they look better than they did when they first aired on CBS. That brings me to another point, each episode starts with a title card saying the name of the episode and when it first came out; brilliant!
