Fantastic Four Video Games

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - -
The graphics seem dated and rushed. The gameplay was laborious and after 30 minutes I simply could not play anymore as it seemed I was wasting my time. I was playing with two player option, but the second player wound up always having to be a robot. The second stage was having each character escape from the hospital and fight off robots and solve puzzles to open doors; I don't rememeber any of that in the movie. I would not recommend.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Horrible Horrible Horrible.....
This game is absolutely boring. The reason why I gave it two stars overall is because there is so many bugs and glitches, and long loading times. The graphics are pretty good but you don't get to choose who you want to be. Also, why is this only two players????? It's called fantastic four not fantastic two. Also, for some reason this game always gives me a huge headace when playing the game. I tried giving it a chance but I gave up. PLEASE don't waste your money on this crappy game.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Hits and Misses
The problem with this title is the lack of innovation and polish. Four fantastic characters, yet game play is slack, cliché', and redundant. The individual powers are unique, but overall they feel very similar. The story and fun of the game would be incredible if the powers and personality of the characters were exploited in the game play. However, it all feels the same: boring. These are classic characters with distinct personalities, and that should be read in the game play. Take Sue, for example. In the comic, Sue, the "Invisible Woman", is the strong one, the glue that holds the team together. In the game her character is rendered weak and ineffective. The Fantastic Four comic made Sue just as important as the male characters, but in the game Sue is semi-super. Her invisibility power is ultimately useless, they should have made stealth-centered game play for Sue. It would have been a great contrast to the brashness of some of the other characters. After all, Sue is intelligent, lacking in physical strength, and has telekinetic attributes. She is the ultimate spy, and who wouldn't want to sneak around a bunch of mutated lizard-mole dudes to avoid danger? Unless of course you could set yourself on fire and fly around. . . like the Human Torch! His special power moves were very cool, but they only served to whet the appetite. He hovered over the ground the entire time like an out of control science fair project. I really craved a flying level, with much more freedom in movement. I always thought that flying is about being free, and the man was grounded, not entirely cool. Also, he was on fire the whole game! How on earth does the man take a shower? Super hero is about super hygiene, unless of course you are wolverine or Austin Powers. The Best part about being the `real' Human Torch is his transformation, which is (I think), what fans identify with. The "Flame On!" command symbolizes the emotional part of being Johnny Storm. He's young and successful, he thinks he is invincible, and with a command He nearly is. It symbolizes his heroism, his feeling of invincibility, and his youth. I enjoyed the Thing the most. It's always fun to run down the street at night in a hat and trench coat, throw cars around and beat thugs with lamp posts (in the game I mean...hey it's what disgruntled super heroes do). Reed was ok, but his fighting style was a bit of a stretch (I know, bad joke). Reed's computer hacking mini-games were fun. I liked the different music with the various characters too. Overall Fantastic Four is a fun 2 player game for an evening with a friend, but I wouldn't purchase it at full price. It doesn't have a huge replay value...although sometimes I do get a hankerin' to throw some cars and rip out lamp posts...(sigh)oh well.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Save your money the new X-men game is here
This was by far the worst game I've ever bought. If you don't believe me please just rent it and see for yourself. I loved the comic as a kid and though the movie wasn't great it was Citizen Cane compared to this pile. The character movement was difficult the missions were repeative and the game was just generally boring. Seems like they rushed this game out just for the movie.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Not all that fantastic...
i think the game isnt all that....it's like xmen legends, but doesnt hold, you know? it didnt have what it really took to be fun, unlike xmen legends which kicked hiney..cant wait for the second one to come out...but for this game, i think its better to rent it than to buy it outright...you might wanna spend a whole lot on a game that u absolutley hate...lol
god bless john kerry, you shoulda been prez...
