Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - waring pro waffle maker
Love the waffle iron. It's great. My husband and I decided that they would make gifts for our kids when the girls showed so much intrest in the iron we now have.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - lady in cement
this was a bomb at the box office for a good reason. The silly music drowns out silly scenes. Frank looks good but the story is awful he tries his best but there is no getting around a bad movie...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Raquwl Was Never Better
Lady in Cement hit the theaters in New York City 11/20/68 starring Frank Sinatra as Private Investigator Tony Rome, Raquel Welch as Kit Forrest and Richard Conte as Lt. Dave Santini. It's a warm sunny day in Miami and Tony and a Buddy of his are on Tony's boat out in the middle of nowhere looking for treasure. Tony looses at poker so he's the one that has to put on the scuba diving gear and has to go in the water to look for the treasure. While Tony in the water he comes across a ********* ****** in cement shoes. After they call, the Coast Guard Tony has to go to the station to meet with Lt. Dave Santini. Tony hired by Waldo to try to fine Sandra Lomax, which leads him to the beautiful Kip Forrest. When Tony comes calling on Kip, Kip mistakes him for someone else and calls Al Munger to take care of Tony. Now Tony fines himself in a real mess which has Tony ******* from the ***. As far as the movie goes, this was far better then the last picture that had Raquel Welch in it. I thought that Frank Sinatra was excellent playing the role of the Private Investigator. He was pushy when he had to be and yet smart enough to get at of jams. What can you about Raquel Welch that hasn't been said already. So was fantastic playing the role of Kip Forrest. When she walks up the ladder out of the swimming pool in that ***** ****** it just made you want to melt. You can never get enough of Raquel and she played a lot bigger role in this film then in the last one, she was in. I give this movie 10 weasel stars for two reasons. The first is because the action in this movie keeps you on the edge of your sit trying to figure out how this movie is going to finish. The second reason and the main, because of Raquel Welch. Raquel brings out the best of any movie she's stars in with her body and she's a great actress.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Sinatra Does It Again
One of the things that I admired about Frank Sinatra was his versatility and professionalism. Whenever he did something, be it a song or a movie, he threw himself into it. Lady in Cement, the second (and unfortunately the last) of his Tony Rome movies, shows that same dedication to his craft. While the movie's plot is sometimes hard to follow, the performances make it worthwhile. Sinatra plays the hardboiled, tough guy detective to perfection, but also has a sly smile on his face letting the audience know he's having a good time. Dan Blocker, who was just reaching beyond his Bonanza role of Hoss, gave us glimpse of the potential that was cut short by his untimely death. This was his last movie. And rounding things out is the beautiful Raquel Welch, whose stunning looks overshadowed the fact that she quite often tried to rise above the eye-candy parts she was given. While Lady in Cement is not quite up to its predecessor, Tony Rome, it's still good fun, and gives us a glimpse back at the end of the sixties. It was an era when, as Frank would've said, men were men and broads were broads.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Lady In Cement (1968)
Waldo?!?!

Now this is a movie with sharp dialogue, comic facial gestures (not over the top) and funny situations that does not fail to please.

Sinatra proves in this minimalist's guide to script a film that it takes nothing less than a good actor with substance to pull it off and come around as a winner. Sinatra has that magic touch; he can own a scene and make it work. Dan Blocker has that same quality, plus his physique; he creates a persona that is a study case for character actors.

Overall, a very entertaining film with many inside jokes. Notice that Sinatra at one point, when talking to Welch, says that he knew a girl that used to date bullfighters. Now if that was not a hint to Ava Gardner then the film The Barefoot Contessa just did not happen.

Therefore, relax, enjoy the film and remember to....

Stay loose.

Again?!?!
