All about sex, yet there is no sex scene in it. It's verbally shocking and towards the end of the movie you may feel like you've gotten older and you may feel like you've shed all of that "fairytale love story" innocence. Hopefully, you won't see that as a negative thing.

Maybe I'm just not PoMo enough to "get it"? I found this to be a boring, depressing, narcissistic movie about boring, depressed, narcissistic people who should really just DIE ALREADY so I wouldn't have to listen to them drone on and on in clipped, See-Spot-Run sentences about how boring, depressive, and narcissistic they are.

About 20 minutes into this movie, I shut it off. I was getting a bit bored thinking I was watching another sappy and tired relationship story. Then I decided to go back to it a few days later and was blown away.
This movie is very complex on many levels and I really had no idea where it was heading. Even the ending was a shock. It is not by any means your typical Hollyood film.
The movie is a bit slow, but you are rewarded with an intense story, amazing acting, and a thought provoking ending.
Oh, and if you like Natlie Portman she has some very sexy/ erotic scenes in this film. va va vooom !

This movie just makes you feel dirty. You leave it not liking a single character; some have said it's real life, but not my real life people. There is no reason to screw anyone over as terribly as was portrayed in this movie. Don't waste your time. I'm glad I checked it out for free from the library.

Thank god I only checked it out from the library. This is one of those movies that you could just stop watching halfway through and not care one bit what happens or how it ends. Why? Because the characters are not interesting. There's no hope or rooting for any of them. Also, Natalie Portman cannot act. It's almost painful watching her deliver her lines. Skip this movie.
