Death Hunt DVD

In association with Amazon.com

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A great movie
As much as I hate to do it, (Don't believe it) I must say something to the
Naysayers about this movie. I found it immensely entertaining. The acting
was excellent and the story unfolded in an interesting way. Did you know
that there was a real Albert Johnson (the Mad Trapper)? Of course this was
taken from a short story and made to fit the scenario they wanted so there
are only a few facts thrown in. Who cares, eh? We all want to be entertained
and to get away from some to the supposedly great movies Hollywood is dishing out today. If you don't want to see it that is easily done. The DVD
is almost impossible to find, now. All your troubles are over. If you can't
buy it, you don't watch it!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Death Hunt
Very loosely based on a true story, Death Hunt is a great "chase" film in the category of Naked Prey of many years ago. And you can't go far wrong with any film that stars Lee Marvin and Charles Bronson. At times the film is a bit contrived and predictable, but it's worth seeing by any fan of chase films and fans of these two great actors.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Hunt over for Death Hunt
So easy to find an old movie for a Charles Bronson fan. It was in perfect shape, the price was right and service was great.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Bronson Fan
Was excited to find this movie. Remember this movie from long ago and was glad to find it. Also loved the Death Wish movies.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - When you cross Charles Bronson with Uncle Leo the result can be no less the 5 stars
Being a new year we were discussing how things have changed on amazon as far as the reviews go. We have noticed quite the drop off of regular visitors and have decided to go with a little format change. Will we stop reviewing? Not a chance, but we are going to keep the reviews a bit more brief. So this is just a heads up for the length of the reviews. They will be shorter but will still deliver the Sid charm.

Anyway, this weeks entry is a delightful Bronson gem known as Death Hunt. The stars of the show are Charles, Lee Marvin, and Carl Weathers (Apollo Creed) with a dose of Uncle Leo (Sienfeld) and Mr. Rittenhauer (Tommy Boy) to seal the deal. The film was based on the true story of a real 1930's wilderness man named Albert Johnson (Bronson) as he was hunted down by Sgt. Edgar Millen and his crew through the snowy woods of Canada. The real trouble occurs on the side of the law once they realize Albert is the real deal and can take an army down single handedly. As the hunt moves on the body count rises weighing in Bronson's favor. There are so many hilarious moments along the way ultimately leading to Bronson's escape over the Alaskan border.

This film is a must for any Bronson fan. It's very much along the lines of Death Ring with a much higher budget and some actual known actors. The scenery was great and the action was everywhere you wanna be. After 5 Death Wish flicks this one proves that Charles Bronson sits right on top with the ultimate hard core action Icons. Yeah even in 1981 he looked like he was 98 but man can this guy tear sh** up. If you are a fan of action go and pick up Death Hunt if you can find it.
