Star Trek The Next Generation is simply the best TV series of all time. There is plenty of imagination, creativity, adventure, character interaction, drama, and action. It has it all.

I started watching TNG when it premiered in 1987, and have continued to watch it on and off ever since. In '87 I liked the show because of the weird looking alien costumes, but as an adult I can watch the show and enjoy it for completely different reasons.
While the very thing that attracted me to this program in my childhood is now one of the things I find somewhat distracting when viewing it in my mid twenties, I find that there is more than enough good writing to make up for it. I'm glad this show has been released on DVD, and whats more, I hope to buy it someday.
Hopefully one day Paramount will stop asking almost $400.00 for seven seasons of a t.v. show. I have purchased many other season sets from many different studios (including Paramount) and I have rarely seen such a gouging.

I got this for my husband as a Christmas gift- he loves Star Trek TNG and was very pleased to get this whole set- he never bought it for himself because he just could not bring himself to spend all that money (it is on the expensive side for a dvd set). Since Christmas we've been watching Star Trek non stop- the dvd's are of good quality which was my concern- and they are organized well. Overall it was a great buy- and to make my husband this happy is priceless!

This DVD set is an excellent TNG collection, featuring all episodes and extras from each season. The extras are great, with extensive behind-the-scenes looks as well as cast interviews. I reccommend this for any Trekkie/Trekker! The only reason why I didn't give this 5 stars, is because a few of the DVDs tended to have image skips (the bottom half of the screen would jump). At first, I thought it was my DVD player, but using it on on another player did the same thing. Thank goodness the occurrences were very few and far between. Most of the times, starting the episode/scene over again seemed to help.

This is a great series that helped rebuild the Star Trek Franchise (in the late 1980s)into what it is today. Patrick Stewart(as Captain Jean-Luc Picard)leads the crew of the new Galaxy-class Starship USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D as they continue to explore strange new worlds and seek out new life forms and civilizations.
Although the first two seasons of TNG were subpar, the rest of the series was excellent and helped cement the TNG crew into Star Trek Lore. The show debuted in 1987 anf finally ended in 1994 after seven seasons. The TNG crew would later go on to star in four more Motion pictures before retiring in 2002.
This set contains every single episode from TNG and also there are some great extras. A great buy for any Star Trek or TNG fan.
